Longleaf Stories

full circle in the hundred acre wood

There are days in one’s life when food is mere fuel, necessary only to keep us going and to help us stay strong so we may provide shelter and help for those who may need to call upon us. This was one of those days. Thankfully, when refueling time arrived this evening, there was a bowl of comforting, sustaining red soup standing by, ready to warm body and spirit.

I am grateful it was there, and now look forward to a hot bath and early sleep.
