Longleaf Stories

full circle in the hundred acre wood

It’s too easy to get so caught up in the must, gotta, and should do world, that the concept of doing something just for the fun of it seems foreign.

Time to go to New Orleans for a few days and be a little extravagant. Stay at the Maison Orleans. Dine at Lilette’s, Peristyle, La Petite Grocery, Herbesaint or its big sister, Bayona. Lay in a canopied bed ’til whenever time you feel like it. Soak in fabulous exotic scented water in a darkened room with black ginger candles.

I’m packing this afternoon. Shoes for walking and dresses for dancing. We leave tomorrow morning.

Back at’cha.
