Longleaf Stories

full circle in the hundred acre wood

Lovely whitetail does at the backyard feeder. Buck put it up for me some years ago so I can watch deer from the laundry room. The time was 7:25 this morning. We keep Lou’s dog food and the coffee pot back there, too, so I was about to grind some beans and dish up Lou’s breakfast when I spotted these two does and three yearlings out back.
