Two nights of talking past midnight and arising before six, but my God, the otherworldly light streaming under the drapes not to mention Lou playing snare drums with her tail against my hand draped over the side of the bed had me up at 5:50.
I let her out a sliding glass door from the living room and (actually) gasped. The moon. I staggered into some pull-on boots and a green Cabela’s parka so old I bought it in the last century and so heavy I’ve only worn it about three times. Just the thing to keep me cozy in this morning’s 19 degree weather. Quick, grab your camera, sleepy-head!
